Disappointing Experience at Telugu Aromos Tarnaka – Not Worth It!

Disappointing Experience at Telugu Aromos (Tarnaka) – Not Worth It! After a long and tiring shoot, we decided to visit  Telugu Aromos , expecting a satisfying meal. Given its reputation, we assumed the experience would be great.  Spoiler alert: It wasn’t. Food Fiasco We initially ordered  Joint Biryani , but to our surprise, the staff  denied our order, claiming they were out of stock . A reputed restaurant running out of its key dish during peak hours? That was the first red flag. Left with no choice, we opted for  Fry Piece Pulav , thinking at least that would be a safe bet. What arrived at our table was downright ridiculous: ✔  One bowl of  sambar  (since when does sambar go with pulav?) ✔   Eight pieces of fried chicken ✔   Chitti Muthyalu rice  (tiny-grain rice) Now,  how are we supposed to eat plain rice with just fried chicken?  No proper gravy, —just a dry, incomplete meal that made no sense. At this point, we were...

THE NOSH BISTRO - KOMPALLY

Hello, Everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. Sunday I received a call early in the morning from an office colleague wanting to meet for lunch. So he invited me to Kompally, where we intended to visit The Nosh, a Bistro on Kompally High-tension Road. I'm writing to share my memorable experience and to describe the delicious cuisine I had at the restaurant. I was pleased with the variety of options they provided. I chose the Red Sauce Pasta. It's my personal favourite. It was delicious and well-cooked. Furthermore, it was attractively decorated. In addition to the red sauce pasta, we ordered a Blue Mojito that was sliced like a beer tower. I would absolutely recommend the Bistro to anyone, especially those looking for a special occasion to dine outside. I'd give it a five out of five. The Bistro's location and lively atmosphere may brighten anyone's day. They also set up a separate cabin for Kitty Party.  I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially given ...

The Nawaab's Restaurant

The Nawaab's Briyani  Today, I personally have eaten more biryani than I did in my entire life and I am certainly not done yet. Every few weeks when the craving for comfort gets out of hand, a biryani is called for. The long-grained rice, coated with ghee and bursting with flavors, the succulent pieces of chicken falling off the bone, and the wafting fragrance of cardamom, bay leaf,  & fried onions is a balm that can comfort any aching soul. Making biryani is a work of art. The choicest pieces of meat are marinated in spices and laid down in special pots with ghee; parboiled rice, often long-grained, is layered on top, and aromatics, spices, and scents are added, the layers go one until the handi is full. The whole thing is then put on Dum and left to cook. While the process may seem simple, it requires expertise and practice of another level. This is what makes the perfect biryani such a rare find and prized catch. Personally, I swear by the biryani of Nawaab’s Rest...

Retro Xpress Breakfast in Hyderabad where you get Idlis that are to die for.

Those who know me are probably quite surprised that I haven't yet written about the Idly in my series on food fetishes. I am quite surprised too! Idly is the ultimate in culinary delights. To describe the idly, however is to be grossly unjust to it. How does one describe an idly? Soft, fluffy pieces of rice flour? Never was anything so sublime described in so poor a fashion. An Idly is only to be experienced to be fully understood. And note the word 'experienced' for you never 'eat' an Idly, you only 'experience' it.  Idly It is really, really difficult to make good Idlis. It is very easy to make good dosas, wadas and the entire gamut of South Indian delicacies. But Idly making is an art in itself. Many experienced hand has failed miserably in this attempt. I am not even going to venture to present a complete recipe. The ingredients are boiled rice flour and Black gram . These have to be soaked overnight and ground into a paste and then allowed to ferment. F...
