Disappointing Experience at Telugu Aromos (Tarnaka) – Not Worth It!
After a long and tiring shoot, we decided to visit Telugu Aromos, expecting a satisfying meal. Given its reputation, we assumed the experience would be great. Spoiler alert: It wasn’t.
Food Fiasco
We initially ordered Joint Biryani, but to our surprise, the staff denied our order, claiming they were out of stock. A reputed restaurant running out of its key dish during peak hours? That was the first red flag.
Left with no choice, we opted for Fry Piece Pulav, thinking at least that would be a safe bet. What arrived at our table was downright ridiculous:
✔ One bowl of sambar (since when does sambar go with pulav?)
✔ Eight pieces of fried chicken
✔ Chitti Muthyalu rice (tiny-grain rice)
Now, how are we supposed to eat plain rice with just fried chicken? No proper gravy, —just a dry, incomplete meal that made no sense. At this point, we were wondering if the chef forgot how a pulav is supposed to be served.
Ambience or Oven?
As if the food situation wasn’t bad enough, the air conditioning wasn’t working. When we asked the staff, they casually brushed it off with, "It’s under repair." Really? In the middle of summer, a so-called reputed restaurant doesn’t have working AC? The dining experience felt less like a pleasant meal and more like a survival challenge in the heat.
Overpriced & Overrated
Now, let’s talk about the prices—because this was the real shocker. The Fry Piece Pulav cost ₹249, and guess what? The so-called “miracle” of the day—Goli Soda—was priced at ₹100! Oh. My. God. ₹100 for a Goli Soda?! At this point, we were convinced they were charging for the “experience” of suffering through this meal.
Final Verdict: A Big NO!
Bad service, incomplete food, non-functional AC, and daylight robbery prices—Telugu Aromos was a complete disappointment. If you’re thinking of visiting, do yourself a favor and think twice before spending your hard-earned money here.
Would we go back? Not even if it was free.
